Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Effective date: May 3, 2026. These terms govern access to Aspis Bio websites, Android app, iPhone app, AI assistance, and connector workflows.
1. Acceptance
By using Aspis Bio, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you use Aspis Bio for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to use it for that organization.
2. Product status
Aspis Bio may be provided as an alpha, beta, research preview, or early-access product. Features may change, break, be rate-limited, or be removed while the product is being built.
3. Research use only
Aspis Bio is for research support, lab organization, calculations, notes, and workflow assistance. It is not a medical device, laboratory information management replacement, clinical diagnostic system, emergency system, or regulated decision-making tool.
You are responsible for independently verifying AI answers, calculations, exports, and scientific outputs before relying on them in research, publication, manufacturing, compliance, safety, or operational decisions.
4. Accounts and security
You are responsible for protecting your account, device, email, and connector accounts. Do not share authentication codes, tokens, or app access with unauthorized users. Report suspected security issues to support@aspis-bio.com.
5. Ask AI
AI output may be incomplete, incorrect, outdated, or unsuitable for your specific context. Do not submit patient data, protected health information, secrets, passwords, regulated human-genomics data, or other sensitive personal data to Ask AI.
6. Dropbox connector
Dropbox is an optional connector. If you connect Dropbox, you authorize Aspis Bio to use the Dropbox permissions needed for selected exports and backups. You remain responsible for your Dropbox account, Dropbox content, and any files you export there.
Disconnecting Dropbox in Aspis Bio clears the app's locally stored Dropbox tokens, but it does not delete files already exported to Dropbox. To revoke app access fully, use Dropbox account settings.
7. Labguru connector
Labguru is an optional connector. If you use Labguru export, you authorize Aspis Bio to send selected Lab Book notes and export metadata to Labguru through Aspis Bio server-side infrastructure. You are responsible for confirming that exported content is correct and allowed under your laboratory, institution, and Labguru account policies.
8. Acceptable use
You may not use Aspis Bio to violate laws, bypass access controls, attack systems, extract secrets, upload malware, infringe intellectual property, abuse AI providers, overload infrastructure, or process data you do not have permission to process.
9. Source-available license
Unless a separate written license applies, Aspis Bio source code is source-available under the PolyForm Strict License 1.0.0. Source availability does not grant permission to operate a competing service, remove notices, or use the software beyond the license terms.
10. Third-party services
Dropbox, Labguru, Cloudflare, AI model providers, email providers, app stores, and other third-party services may have their own terms and policies. Your use of those services is governed by their terms as well as these terms.
11. Disclaimers
Aspis Bio is provided as-is and as-available to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, scientific correctness, regulatory suitability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aspis Bio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, research delays, connector failures, or AI output errors.
13. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the product changes. For terms, privacy, connector, or support questions, email support@aspis-bio.com. For product and partnership inquiries, email main@aspis-bio.com.
